Running alongside the celebrations, Kilkenny Tradfest brings ceol agus craic from afternoon into night, with headline gigs and a free Trad Trail showcasing the city’s rich musical heritage. St Patricks Day Parade

The heart of St. Patrick’s Festival, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Kilkenny which takes place on Tuesday, 17th March 2026 at 1.30pm, bringing the city centre to life as the colourful procession winds through Kilkenny’s medieval streets. Celebrating Irish culture, music, creativity and community, the parade is surrounded by a full day of festivities, with live music, street entertainment, carnival rides, family fun and the bustling Festival Market before and after the main event. With lively activity across the city and celebrations running from the 14th to the 17th of March, it’s the perfect opportunity to make a day, or a few days of it and come together to celebrate Lá Fhéile Pádraig in Kilkenny.
