We had our wedding at the Newpark Hotel in 2022 and could not have asked for a more perfect experience. After postponing our original date by a year due to Covid, the team at the Newpark made the entire process completely stress-free, showing nothing but understanding, flexibility, and professionalism from start to finish.

Our story began many years earlier, we met when we were just 16 and 17, we were friends before we ever started dating, and have since travelled the world together, always returning to our home in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

On the day itself, the staff were absolutely seamless. Everything was laid out exactly as we had hoped and imagined, and the day flowed effortlessly thanks to the incredible team working quietly behind the scenes. A few guests couldn’t attend the reception due to last minute commitments, we had extended family babysitting our nieces and nephews in their bedrooms, and without hesitation the staff arranged for the spare dinners including wine, to be sent up to these who were babysitting. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly shows the level of care and attention the Newpark provides.

It’s hard to pick favourite moments because the entire day was perfect, but some highlights stand out: being surprised by Timmy with a vintage Mini, a car I’ve always loved, meeting at the top of the aisle surrounded by our family and friends, and our first dance together. We added many personal touches, from designing and making our own invitations, mass booklets, post box, and photo wall, to creating our own unity candle and choosing to make donations to three charities close to our hearts instead of traditional wedding favours. While these touches made the day uniquely ours, the Newpark was exceptional in its own right, no major additions were needed.

We also celebrated Day Two in the Terrace area of the Newpark with a BBQ and music, all organised by the hotel. It was the most enjoyable and relaxed way to finish our wedding celebrations, fantastic food, great atmosphere, and completely stress-free, allowing us to simply enjoy time with our family and friends.

All of our guests commented on the outstanding food and service, and we have been recommending the Newpark ever since. We’re absolutely delighted that a close friend of ours has booked their wedding there for next year, and we know they will be in the very best hands.
