Jurassic Newpark
Set across 25 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and parkland, Newpark Hotel already feels like a resort getaway, with so many attractions on-site that you never need to leave. One of our most unique features is Jurassic Newpark, one of Ireland’s only dinosaur-themed parks, located right here on the hotel grounds in Kilkenny. This interactive walk-through experience brings you face to face with life-sized, roaring, and moving robotic dinosaurs, proof that the giants of the past are once again roaming the land.
Jurassic Newpark is also home to Jurassic Bounce, one of Ireland’s largest inflatable parks; a medieval castle where little adventurers can play at being knights or royalty; the Jurassic Express, a charming train ride that takes you back in time; plus a whole range of other fun activities for all ages.
You’ll find Jurassic Newpark at the rear of the Newpark Hotel, just beyond the back car park.
Dinosaur Park
Featuring seventeen life-size, moving dinosaurs, you will come face to face with some of the mightiest beasts to have ever lived.
Hear the roar of the Tyrannosaurus, see the size of the Brachiosaurus and marvel at the cunning of the Velociraptor. Alongside our prehistoric pals, you will get to meet many modern-day farm animals, from lovable llamas to incredible Emus!
Follow our Fairy Trail, where you can see the wonderful houses and homes of the wood fairies, and learn all about the park’s animals from Leafy, the talking tree! You can wrangle our ride-on baby T-rex, before looking straight into the enormous teeth of his mother from our treetop walkway!
Whiz around our Go-kart track, grab some Cretaceous Cuisine at the Jurassic Snack Shack, and have a blast at our Prehistoric Playground. There is plenty of ferocious fun to be had at Jurassic Newpark.
Mini-wildlife Park
Another highlight of any visit to the Newpark is a visit to the mini wildlife farm where you can make friends with llamas, alpacas, emus, highland cattle, goats, sheep, ducks, and guinea fowl enjoy ‘feeding time’ on the farm, and the very popular adventure playground offering fun for all the family.

Jurassic Newpark is now open 7 days a week to our Hotel guests from 10am to 5pm.

No, there are no age restrictions. The experience is tailored for families, children, and dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages. However, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Jurassic Bounce is divided into two designated areas for safety. One area is for children aged 3 years and under, and the other is for those aged 4 years and above. For health and safety reasons, children aged 3 years and under are not permitted in the 4-years-and-over section.
