From the 1st day we visited the Newpark, we knew without a doubt we would have our wedding there, it didn’t cost us a thought. St Patrick’s weekend just fit in perfectly.

We got married on Thursday 16th March in Thurles Cathedral & had our photos in the insanely beautiful Kilkenny Castle followed by the perfect evening in the Newpark (and of course we continued our day 2 celebrations on Paddys Day, where we booked the ballroom out again and had a fabulous BBQ, music & danced the night away). The staff in the hotel on our wedding day were sensational, we had Aga look after us on the day and she was the perfect mix of firm to get us all moving and the best craic and had us laughing from one end of the day to the next.

What stood out most was how calm the hotel made us feel on a day that could have been stressful. Whenever something was needed, the staff handled it smoothly, allowing us to be in the moment. The atmosphere, the service, and the small thoughtful touches all came together to turn the hotel into more than just a place to stay; it became part of the memory of our wedding day itself. Our friends and family still talk about our wedding being one of the best they were ever at!

We have been back to the Newpark each year since our wedding day to celebrate our anniversary, and plan to continue to do so in the future! We will never have enough words to thank you all for making our wedding there most special day of our lives!
