Step into a world of twinkling lights, sparkling trees, and festive cheer as you begin your Christmas journey with us at Newpark Hotel. From the moment you arrive, every detail has been carefully planned to fill your days with joy, laughter, and a touch of Christmas wonder.
23rd December
On 23rd December, the festivities begin with the hotel dressed in its holiday best, and for those staying in our executive and top-floor rooms, even your own Christmas tree twinkling by the window. The scent of mulled wine and warm mince pies fills the air as families gather in the lobby, while little explorers set off to discover Jurassic Newpark and the Fen Walks during daylight hours. In the afternoon, the soothing notes of our resident pianist bring the lobby to life, before children enjoy festive fun at Kids’ Camp. Later in the evening a sparkling four-course dinner is served in Gulliver’s Restaurant, complete with prosecco, mulled wine, hats, and crackers, setting the tone for a magical night. As bedtime nears, little ones are treated to milk and cookies in the lobby before live music carries the holiday spirit into the evening.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, the magic deepens, with the day beginning over a hearty breakfast before families set off to explore the playgrounds and woodland trails. From mid-afternoon, the lobby becomes the heart of the hotel with mulled wine, prosecco, hot chocolate, sandwiches, scones, and sweet mini desserts to enjoy while the pianist plays carols. For our youngest guests, a festive tray is delivered to their room with milk and cookies for Santa, a carrot for Rudolph, and even a magic key to help Santa find his way, a moment of excitement that brings the Christmas spirit alive. Families can gather for a keepsake photo in the lobby, before a four-course Christmas Eve dinner served with plenty of sparkle in our Ballroom. Afterwards, children can settle into Kids’ Camp or enjoy a festive film (The Nightmare Before Christmas) with popcorn, while live music fills the lobby. And when morning comes, every child will awaken to a gift left quietly by the main man himself.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day dawns with a sparkling champagne breakfast, complete with carved roast ham, setting the stage for a day of joy and indulgence. Families can take a stroll through Jurassic Newpark and the Fen Walks before gathering in the lobby, where carol singers fill the air and guests sip mulled wine, prosecco, hot chocolate, or pink lemonade. A family photo keepsake adds to the memory-making, while little ones wait in anticipation for the highlight of the day, a five-course festive lunch in our grand Ballroom. Hats are popped, crackers are pulled, mariachi singers provide joyful entertainment, and Santa makes a magical entrance to greet the children with sweet surprises. The celebrations continue into the afternoon with music from our pianist, and later, a festive buffet dinner brings everyone together once again. Live music fills both the bar and lobby into the night, while families can cosy up for a movie with popcorn, perhaps The Greatest Showman or The Goonies. And of course, one last glass of milk and cookies.
St. Stephen’s Day
On St. Stephen’s Day, the spirit of Christmas lingers as breakfast with bubbles and carved ham sets a leisurely tone. Families can enjoy a final day exploring Jurassic Newpark or walking the winter trails before gathering for a delicious three-course buffet lunch in Scott’s Brasserie. The afternoon is sweetened by live piano music in the lobby, while the evening offers another round of fun with Kids’ Camp for children and a festive four-course dinner in the Ballroom for all. As night falls, the lobby comes alive with live music, while families wrap up the day with a cosy movie and popcorn, this time a seasonal favourite, Home Alone. And as always, milk and cookies will be waiting for the little dreamers before bedtime.
