The role:

Taking responsibility for the hotel for early or late shifts making sure all areas are open, set up properly and welcoming to our guests
Helping in Food & Beverage departments in high demand periods
Dealing with guest and employees queries as they arise
Supporting all of the management team as needed
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety & fire prevention procedures when on-shift
Completing of daily security walks, daily reports and Passover reports
Ensuring the team provide exceptional levels of service for every
Have a good understanding and working relationship with all areas within the hotel
Deal with office administration as instructed by the hotel management (signage for promotions and events) (updating SOPs)
Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
Be able to work independently in a busy environment.
Be able to prioritise duties
Ensure all maintenance issues are reported and rectified in a timely manner.
Assisting senior Management with compilation of reports, payroll and rosters.
Ensuring the public areas are clean and tidy at all times and has a good ambience. (correct music/lighting /heating/candles e.tc)
Ensuring that the best customer service is provided to all our guests and customers and a warm welcome is provided and our guest/customers feel appreciated for their custom and encouraged to return.
Checking Function sheet, VIP guest list to ensure smooth running of Dept. on daily basis.
Cash handling and ensuring all SOP’s are adhered to.
Food and beverage product knowledge.
Ensuring that the best customer service is provided to all our guests and customers
Liaising with the Management on offers and deals for the hotel and assisting with Department training.
Dealing with any issues or complaints in an efficient and professional manner ensuring customer/guest satisfaction and informing senior management of any issues/complaints received.
Checking and ensuring team members are groomed to standard at the start of each shift and supervising team in the absence of the management to ensure standards are met at all times.

The main purpose of the role will be to:

Assist in the coordination of conferences, banquets, and events from planning stages to execution
Work closely with the Banqueting Manager to ensure all client requirements are met
Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in conferences and banquets, including servers, event coordinators, and support staff
Provide guidance and support to ensure staff performs their duties effectively
Oversee the setup of event spaces, ensuring proper arrangement according to event type and client preferences
Coordinate logistical aspects, such as seating arrangements, equipment setup, and signage
Interact with clients and guests to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience
Monitor the quality-of-service delivery and take corrective actions as required
Train new staff members on conference and banqueting procedures, service standards, and customer interaction
Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the skills of existing staff
Ensure that events meet or exceed established quality standard
Conduct inspections to ensure proper setup, cleanliness, and adherence to safety regulations
Maintain effective communication with the Banqueting Manager, staff, and other departments
Relay important information to staff and address any issues promptly

Reception Duties:

Meet and greet clients in an appropriate manner.
Answer telephone and take messages or make bookings when appropriate.
Provide finishing touches for departing clients.
Check and sign consultation forms before treatments.

Treatments:

Give treatments to the highest standards and ensure exceptional customer care.
Therapists are responsible for cleaning and shutting down their own treatment room at the end of every day.
Ensure that all product guidelines and Aveda’s philosophies are followed when giving treatments as well as the Aveda Spa rituals.
Provide the required treatment at the time of treatment.

Cleaning:

Set up and prepare treatment rooms
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the treatment rooms
Clean and maintain general areas of the Spa
Prepare product and clean equipment after use

Additional Duties:

Give guidance and treatment advice to junior members of staff when required as well as providing training where necessary to new starts.
Be proactive and seek to develop and enhance the spa at all times.
Have the ability to recommend retail products and exceed retail targets.
Develop a repeat customer base
Complete room checks on quiet periods
Encourage staff to use initiative during quiet periods.
Have sole responsibility for a specific area within the Spa and report weekly to Management in relation to the specific areas of responsibility.
Weekly changing of the barricade in the refilling of surgical spirits spray bottles in each room.

Miscellaneous:

Interact with all other areas within the Healthclub & Spa, including working on the desk when required.
Take bookings/inquiries for all areas of the Health club.
Always report to management during free periods.
