National Heritage Week 2026

National Heritage Week 2026 is a week long celebration taking place across Ireland from  the 15th to 23rd August, celebrating the country’s rich built, natural, and cultural heritage. Events are designed to be accessible, with many focusing on local heritage and are largely free, with hundreds of events, workshops, and tours offered at no cost. Organised by the Heritage Council, this year’s theme is “Heritage at Risk”, inviting communities to explore the traditions, places, and environments that are endangered and to find creative ways to protect and revive them.
